AFS & Associates provides all these services
Engineering:
Towns and/or Financial Institutions will require engineered stamped
blueprints for the house, stamped plans for the foundation, board of
health approved septic design, and a surveyed plot plan showing
locations of the house, well, septic and driveway.
Land
Clearing:
Removal of all stumps
and trees as required.
Excavation:
To include digging for foundation with necessary drainage, trenches
for water and sewer lines and underground utilities (if required),
backfill around the foundation and bulldozer on the day of delivery
and house set and a crushed stone driveway with culvert pipe from the
road to the house.
Foundation:
Eight-inch poured concrete walls with footings or
Superior Wall-type
foundation system. Homeowner has the choice of either a crawl space or
full basement. Frost walls if required. Also included in the
foundation work are waterproofing, sill plates and sill seal,
attachment hardware, termite protection (if required), 4" reinforced
concrete floor, perimeter drainage and R-19 insulation installed in
floor joists of house. Any windows, doors, or exterior finishing
treatment will be included at homeowner's request and will be quoted
as required.
Well:
Actual cost determined by overall depth of well. Included in cost is
installation of water pump and run line to foundation. (Not
required if municipal water hookup is available.)
Septic System:
Calculated and installed per approved-engineered plans.
(Not required if municipal sewer hookup is available.)
Plumbing and
Heating System:
Connect all fresh water lines to source and all waste lines to sewer
outlet. Install hot water tank, boiler, exhaust venting, and connect
all hot water lines to baseboard radiators.
Electric:
Run service from pole to house and activate service. Install lights
and/or ceiling fans in home and install switches, outlets and lights
in basement, as well as electrical hookups needed for the furnace.
Carpentry:
Stairs to the basement with hand rails along with porches and/or decks
need to be constructed for final Certificate of Occupancy.
